The national team manager of Germany, Joachim Löw has spoken out against the plans by FIFA to increase the number of teams participating in the World Cup to 48.
He is of the opinion that if and when it is successfully carried out, the competition’s sporting value could be “diluted.”

After managing only a draw from the opening group match, Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill was pleased to see his team get a much expected win against San Marino in the latest group match.
Northern Ireland were involved in a goalless draw against Czech Republic on the opening day. However, they bounced back from this disappointing result in the best possible fashion after scoring four against San Marino. Admittedly, the opposition are considered as minnows in the global game but it still takes effort to come up with four goals.

Throughout the entire history of the Canadian national football team, they have consistently struggled to qualify for the World Cup.
As each year passes by, Canada just can’t seem to snatch a qualification spot that would allow them to compete in the worldwide competition.

The newly appointed coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Gernot Rohr says he would take the three time African champions to the World Cup despite the tight qualification rope and even excel at the tournament.

Wales take on Belgium in the quarter-finals of the Euro 2016 knowing that they can match the achievements of a great footballing team 60 years ago in the 1958 World Cup. The coach of Spain, Vicente del Bosque, wants the team to learn from their World Cup experience in Brazil as they attempt a third successive campaign at the Euro 2016 in France.
After the team lifted the Euro 2008 and 2012, also winning their first ever World Cup in South Africa 2010, they could not cope with the very high pressure of being the favourites to lift the trophy for a second successive time. They were surprisingly knocked out from the tournament in the first round.

Spain International David Silva insists on playing for his national team despite the injury concerns ahead of the tournament billed for France.
The Manchester City playmaker suffered a hamstring injury in the first leg of his club's Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid last month and has not played since. When he joined the national team, he spoke on the injuries.
"I'm fine. I hope to play in the first game, I'm not sure but I feel good. I have 96 caps and I am excited about reaching 100, to reach that figure would be very nice," he said.
